After I confirmed that my hotas x is detected and tested in Windows, I've put x360ce_x64.exe in my Steam\SteamApps\common\ACE COMBAT 7 folder, started it up, and loaded some config from the internet. It worked straight away when launching the game from Steam. Note that I turned off "generic gamepad configuration support" under Steam Big Picture.. But to my surprise after launching the game once with my T-Flight HOTAS X plugged in (and set to PC mode, not PS3 mode), the input config file at:. \Users\

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.. my t flight hotas x has 5 axis, throttle, the yaw handle on the back of the throttle and the x,y,z on the stick itself, more than enough for everything if you omit camera controls. as I use to own the Ace Combat 6 HOTAS on 360 and there is no way to mimic that control scheme through steam.
